We all started our Friday at Perth by going to early rehearsals at 7:25 am for all Foxboro students preparing for our concert later in the night.
After our rehearsals ended at 8:25 am, we had about a half an hour to prepare for our trip to the Fremantile Prison tour. We arrived at our destination and learned about the rich history of the first convicts that were sent from Britain that built and stayed at this facility till its closing in 1991. With 44 executions and many thousands of people staying imprisoned in its walls for over 100 years, the prison had a gruesome past and horrible conditions.

Later, we went to lunch on the coastline near the Prison. After our lunch, we went to the Maritime Museum in which we learned about the history of sailors and different equipment used in the ocean coast line that sat right next to the museum.
After the museum, we had quick rehearsals before our 7pm concert.
First to perform at the concert was the Foxboro Chamber Orchestra, which later combined with the Hale string students. The Foxboro Jazz Choir followed later which was then followed by the Foxboro Jazz Ensemble and then later in which Hale Jazz players followed.
The concert ended around 9:00 pm in which students got to go home with their host students.
Tomorrow, we will be taking a trip Narrogin!
